bevel Sanding
the model g1071 has a tilting table to allow bevel
sanding at a variety of angles.
NOTICE
bevel sanding on a spindle sander is NOT
an exact science. When the table is tilted to
45˚, the actual angle sanded on the edge of
a workpiece will change if the workpiece is
sanded at different positions around the
spindle.
To bevel sand a workpiece:
1. disConneCt sander from poWer!
2. adjust the table to the desired angle and
secure it into position with the trunnion lock
handles shown in
figure 27.
3. rotate the spindle by hand to ensure it does
not make contact with the table insert.

When marking the finish line on your workpiece,
always mark on the outside, or longest, edge of
the bevel, as shown in
figure 28. this allows the
finish line to be viewed on the top side of the
workpiece.
