The "Hardware Installation" dialog box is displayed. Click the [Continue Anyway] but-
ton.

The "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box notifying you that the Wizard will end
is displayed. Click the [Finish] button.

ScanSnap! is added to your computer as new hardware.

ATTENTION

When the OS is Windows

®

XP, it may take some time for the "ScanSnap! Mon-

itor" icon in the task tray to be displayed as

.

Disconnect and then re-connect the AC cable and AC adapter when the icon

remains as

.

HINT

This scanner is not provided with a power switch. To turn the scanner OFF, dis-
connect the USB cable, and then disconnect the AC cable from the power out-
let.
