CAUTION
1. Always ground yourself with a wrist strap connected to ground before
handling. ESD (Electrostatics Discharge) may cause the damage to the
device.
2.
To prevent electrical damage to the disk drive, turn the power off before
connecting or disconnecting a cable, connector, or plug.
3.
Do not remove a PCA.
4.
Do not use a conductive cleaner to clean a disk drive assembly.
5.
Ribbon cables are marked with a colored line. Connect the ribbon cable to a
cable connector with the colored wire connected to pin 1.

Preventive maintenance is not required.

life
See "(3) Service life," in Section 2.1.5.

Parts that can be replaced in the field
The PCA cannot be replaced in the field. The DE cannot be replaced in the field.
(4)
Service system and repairs
Fujitsu has the service system and repair facility for the disk drive. Contact Fujitsu representative
to submit information for replacing or repairing the disk drive. Generally, the following
information must be included:
a) HDD model, part number (P/N), revision number, serial number (S/N), and date of
manufacturing
b) Error
status

Date when the error occurred
•
System configuration
•
Environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and voltage)
c) Error
history
