2.2 Connecting the Scanner

1. Connect and use the thumbscrews to fix the interface cable into the

interface connector of the scanner.

2. Connect and fix the other end of the interface cable to the PC.

HINT

The factory default setting for SCSI ID is “No.5”.
If the SCSI ID of another SCSI device is set to the same ID,
either change the scanner’s SCSI ID or change the SCSI ID
of the other SCSI device.
For details on how to change the SCSI ID, refer to the "Chap-
ter 7. OPERATOR PANEL MENUS of the Operator’s Guide"
on page 155, included in the “User manual (CD-ROM)” .
