Function 59: Display Calibration Audit Number
Use function 59 to view the calibration audit number , the configuration number, the software ID
number, and the status of the internal function lock.
The IDS 410/422 provides a calibration audit number and a configuration number. They are
used to indicate changes to calibration data and configuration data and can be used in place of
mechanical seals by some regulatory agencies. The IDS 410/422 audit number increments each
time a calibration parameter is changed (deadload or weight conversion factor). The
configuration number increments each time a password level 3 parameter is changed. If physical
seals are used, then place the internal function lock in the locked position before sealing.
Calibration and password level 3 parameters can not be accessed when the function lock is in the
locked position.
1 Hold the GROSS/NET key down and press the UNITS key to enter configure mode.
2 Enter CFG 59. The IDS 410/422 prompts "A xxx" where xxx is the current audit number.
3 Press the ENTER key. The IDS 410/422 prompts "C xxxxx" where xxxxx is the current
calibration number.
4 Press the ENTER key. The IDS 410/422 prompts "xxxxx" where xxxxx is the ID number of
the software installed in the IDS 410/422.
5 Press the ENTER key. The IDS 410/422 prompts "un-LoC" if the function lock is in the
unlocked position, or "Loc Ed" if the function is in the locked position.
Function 60: Calibrate Scale - Deadload First
Use function 60 to calibrate the scale by reading the deadload first and then reading the span. Set
the Scale Operation Parameters before using function 60. Best results are obtained when the
IDS 410/422 and load cells have reached thermal equilibrium (power applied for approximately
30 to 120 minutes depending on load cell size). NOTE: function 60 automatically adjusts
parameter 19 (internal A/D deadload factor).
1 Hold the GROSS/NET key down and press the UNITS key to enter configure mode.
2 Enter CFG 60. The IDS 410/422 prompts "dEAdld". Remove all weight from the scale.
Press the ENTER key. The IDS 410/422 reads the scale's deadload weight.
3 The IDS 410/422 prompts "CALib". Place the calibration weight on the scale. Enter the
calibration weight using the
item, +, - keys. Press the ENTER key. The IDS 410/422 reads the
calibration weight.
4 The IDS 410/422 prompts "CFG 60". Press the CLEAR key to exit the configure mode.
