Installation Task List
To successfully install your Wireless USB Adapter, complete each
of these tasks, in order:
❏ If you are unfamiliar with wireless technology or LANs, read
About Wireless Technology and LANs on page 42 for a basic
overview.
❏ Install the Wireless USB Adapter. See page 4 .
❏ Install the device driver for your computer’s operating system.

❏ Install the Adaptec Wireless Utility. See page 17 .
❏ Disable Zero Configuration (Windows XP users only). See
page 21 .
❏ Install the network protocols. See page 23 .
❏ Connect to the WLAN. See page 27 .
Basic installation takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
