Changing the remote control code
Hitachi DVD players and recorders use the same remote control
system so they may respond unintentionally to a command from this
remote control. Change the code on this unit and its remote control
(the two must match) if you place equipment close together.
≥Use “1”, the factory set code, under normal circumstances.

While stopped
Press [SETUP] to show the menus.

Press [ 3, 4] to select “Set Up” and
press [ 1].

Press [ 3, 4] to select “Remote Con-
trol Code” and press [ENTER].

Press [ 3, 4] to select the code (1, 2,
or 3) and press [ENTER].
The remote control code on the unit has been set.

While pressing [ENTER] on the
remote control, press the numbered
button ([1], [2] or [3]) corresponding
to the code you selected in step 4.
The remote control code on the remote control has been set.

Press [SETUP]
The following display appears when you use a remote control with a
different code.
If you are trying to use this unit’s remote control, change its code to
match the unit’s (
