Removal and replacement procedures
SIM slot board
Before removing the SIM slot board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see “Battery” on page 6 ).
5. Remove the wireless module compartment cover (see “WLAN module” on page 11 ).
Remove the SIM slot board:
1. Slide the SIM cover 1 to the right to release the cover.
2. Lift the left side of the cover 2 and swing it up and to the right.
3. Remove the SIM 3.

Store the SIM in a safe place. It will be necessary to reinstall the SIM when reassembling the computer.
