4. Remove the three Phillips PM2.0×3.6 screws (1) and the eleven Phillips PM2.5×3.2 broad head
screws (2) that secure the top cover to the computer.
5. Turn the computer display-side up, with the front toward you.
6. Open the computer as far as it will open.
7. Lift the front edge of the top cover (1) until the keyboard cable connector and
keyboard light cable connector are accessible.
8. Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard cable (2) is attached, and then disconnect
the cable from the system board.
9. Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard light cable (3) is attached, and then disconnect
the cable from the system board.
10. Remove the top cover.
