2. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the back of the terminal/computer.
3. Connect the
appropriate
interface cable
to the base and
to the terminal/
computer and
keyboard. Make
sure the cables
are secured in
the wireways in
the bottom of
the base and
that the base
sits flat on a
horizontal
surface.
4. Turn the terminal/computer power back on.
5. Program the base for the keyboard wedge interface. See
6. Verify the base operation by scanning a barcode from the
in the back of this manual.
Note: Without using the 9-volt external, power supply, the base only uses
enough power from the host to operate the interface. The image
scanner’s battery is not charged when in this mode. Using the 9-volt,
external power supply allows the image scanner’s battery to be charged,
and no power is drawn from the host.
