OPERATION
CHOKE KNOB
THROTTLE GRIP
N (neutral)
CLOSED
POINTER
ENGINE START SYMBOL
GEARSHIFT LEVER
Check the position of the gearshift
lever. It must be in the N (neutral)
position for starting.
The engine will not start if the
gearshift lever is in the F (forward)
or R (reverse) position.
To start a cold engine, pull the
choke knob to the CLOSED
position.
To restart a warm engine, leave the
choke knob in the OPEN position.
Turn the throttle grip to align the
CHOKE position with the index
mark for starting a cold engine.
Align the START position with
the index mark for restarting a
warm engine.
