Preparation
First Step; Unplug scanner from power supply and Computer.
Wait for at least 15 minutes (after disconnecting power)
before disassembling scanner and cleaning the glass.
This gives time for the scanner to cool.
Tools Needed;
Small Flat-Blade Screw driver
Supplies Needed;
Glass Cleaner
Lint Free Cloth
Surroundings or Environment;
Disassemble scanner in a relatively clean
dust free space.
Special Considerations;
Read through the entire process once before starting to actually clean the product, and
then decide if you want to do this or send it in to the Hewlett Packard service center for
cleaning.
Do not touch any other parts inside of the scanner. Some
parts of the scanner are very sensitive, especially
to electrostatic discharge.
