SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
FUEL HOSES
SUSPENSION STRAP FUEL FILTER
(inside strainer cup) ENGINE COVER LATCH
UNLOCK
STRAINER
ASSEMBLY
Looking through the translucent
strainer cup, check the fuel filter
for water accumulation or
sediment. Remove the engine cover. Remove the strainer assembly. If it
is difficult to remove the strainer
assembly by your self, consult an
authorized Honda marine dealer.
Remove the suspension strap from
the strainer bracket, then remove
the strap from the strainer
assembly.
Before removing the fuel filter, to
prevent fuel leakage, place fuel
hose clamps on the fuel hoses on
each side of the fuel filter.
