4 Select the VCR mode
Press VCR/TV button so that "VCR" appears on the display
5 Select "ENGLISH" or "FRANCAIS"
Select "ENGLISH" or "FRANCAIS=French" using CH/SET
or button.
Then, press SELECT or MENU button.
6 Begin channel preset
Press SELECT button once. The tuner scans and memorizes all the active channels in your area.
(TV mode: from CH2/ CATV mode: from CH1)
• The VCR distinguishes between standard TV channels and cable channels.
7 After scanning
The tuner stops on the lowest memorized channel. The TV screen returns to TV mode.
• If you subscribe to CABLE TV, "CATV" appears on the display.
• If "TUNER SET UP" appears on the TV screen again, check the cable connections. Then, press
SELECT button once again. The VCR will begin preset again.
TO RECALL A DESIRED CHANNEL
You can select the desired channel by using CHANNEL (or CH) or button or directly
pressing number buttons on the remote control.
Note for using number buttons:
• When selecting cable channels which are higher than 100, press 100/ENT button first, then press
the last two digits. (To select channel 125, first press "100/ENT" button then press "2" and "5").
• You must precede single-digit channel numbers with a zero (02, 03, 04 and so on).
