5. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Properties dialog box, make sure that
Obtain IP address automatically and
Obtain DNS server address
automatically are selected.
6. Click OK twice to save your settings.
7. Reboot your computer if prompted.
Windows XP
1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, then click Control Panel, and then click Network and
Internet Connections.
2. Click Network Connections, then click
Local Area Connection, and then select
Properties.
The Local Area Connection Properties
dialog box displays.
3. Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
check box, and then click Properties.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Properties dialog box displays.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Properties dialog box, ensure that Obtain
IP address automatically and Obtain
DNS server address automatically are
selected.
5. Click OK twice to save your settings.
6. Reboot your computer if prompted
You can now configure the SpeedStream router as detailed in “Configuring the Router.”
