Product Specifications

The MVI69L-MBS (Modbus Master/Slave Communication Module) allows
Rockwell Automation CompactLogix I/O compatible processors to interface easily
with other Modbus protocol compatible devices.

The module acts as an input/output communications module between the
Modbus network and the CompactLogix backplane. The data transfer from the
CompactLogix processor is asynchronous from the actions on the Modbus
network. Databases are user-defined and stored in the module to hold the data
required by the protocol.
 Single-slot, 1769 backplane-compatible
 The module is recognized as an Input/Output module and has access to

processor memory for data transfer between processor and module.

 Ladder Logic is used for data transfer between module and processor.

Sample Add-On Instruction file included.

 Configuration data obtained from and stored in the processor.
 Supports CompactLogix processors with 1769 I/O bus capability and at least

800 mA of 5 Vdc backplane current available.
