Strap Mounting:
IMPORTANT! The lightbar must be a minimum of 16" from any radio antennas.
1.
On the metal trim strip that runs along the top of the
doors, measure 7-1/4" from the edge of the front door
(where the front and rear doors meet) to locate the
clip holding the trim strip onto the vehicle. Pry the strip
away from the vehicle here (Fig. 1).
2.
Measure 6" from the edge of the rear door for the
location of the second clip and pry the trim strip away
from the vehicle there (Fig. 1).
3.
Insert the plastic spacer between the metal trim strip
and body, centered between the doors (Fig. 2). The
side of the spacer that goes against the inside of the
trim strip is beveled and must be correctly positioned
for the trim strip to snap back onto the vehicle. With
the spacer in place, snap the trim strip back onto
vehicle.
4.
Assemble the extension, mounting plate and mounting foot and mount the assembly to the lightbar (refer to instructions included
with lightbar manual).
5.
Place lightbar onto vehicle roof with the mounting pads located just outside the rain gutter as shown in figure 2.
6.
Install the straps to the mounting feet. The strap must be centered between the front and rear doors (fig. 3).
7.
Drill two pilot holes where the strap attaches to the vehicle using
the holes in the strap as a guide. Use a 1/8” drill.
8.
Drill two clearance holes in the same place using a 7/32 drill bit
and a 1/4” drill stop.
IMPORTANT: The clearance holes must not go through the
vehicle body.
9.
Secure the
strap to the
foot with the
tension bolt
and tinnerman
nut (Fig. 2)
and secure the
straps to the
vehicle with
