Bracket/Speaker Assembly / Upper bracket:
With the lower bracket and speaker(s) installed, you will now add the upper
Howler speaker bracket which mounts to the upper frame, just above the lower
Howler (Fig. 1).
1.
NOTE: If your vehicle did not come with an SA315 speaker
installed, (which was relocated while installing the lower bracket)
you need to drill two mounting holes (indicated as “B” in figure
5) into the vehicle frame. Firmly secure the mounting bracket to
mounting hole (“A”) on the vehicle. With the bracket in
position, drill the other two mounting holes (“B”) using
the bracket as a guide.
2.
Remove the bracket from the vehicle and
install the Howler siren speaker onto the
bracket (Fig. 6).
IMPORTANT: Because the speaker is
mounted on an angle, the drainage
holes are not in the correct position
on the bottom of the speaker for
proper drainage. You will need to drill
a new drainage hole in the location
indicated below, centered on what is
now the bottom of the speaker. Use a
3/16" drill bit and a drill stop to
protect the inner parts of the speaker.
