3.5 Protection against the danger of

fire

Warning!

Please observe the

following safety information to
prevent fire.

• It is not permissible to use charcoal or

similar fuels with this appliance.

• The appliance may only be used on a

firm, level, dry and non-flammable
surface. This will prevent it from tipping
over, sliding or setting fire to the surface
and causing damage.

• Maintain a distance of at least 50 cm

from other objects to prevent them from
catching fire.

• Never use the appliance near curtains

and other flammable materials. If the
grilled food catches fire, the flames
could easily spread to other objects.

3.6 Protection against injury

Warning!

Observe the following

safety instructions to protect
yourself from injury.

• Ensure that it is not possible for anyone to

trip over or to get caught up in or step on
the mains cable and injure themselves.

• The hooks on grill cover 2 are very

sharp. Be careful not to injure yourself
on them.

3.7 For the safety of your child

Warning!

Children are often

unaware of danger and are
injured as a result. Please note
therefore:

• Only allow children to use this appliance

under the supervision of an adult.

• Ensure the appliance is always kept out

of the reach of children.

• Ensure that children cannot pull the

appliance down onto themselves with
the cable.

• Ensure that the packing foil does not

become a deadly trap for a child.
Packing foils are not toys.

3.8 Protection against material

damage

Caution!

To avoid material damage, please

observe the following safety instructions.
• If at all possible, use cutlery made of

wood or heat-resistant plastic to prevent
the surface coating of grill cover 2 and
raclette pans 1 being scratched.

• Be especially careful not to damage the

surface coating of grill cover 2 and
raclette pans 1 if using cutlery or utensils
made of metal.

• The appliance must not be placed on hot

stoves, put in a hot oven or set up in the
vicinity of gas heaters and on-demand
water heaters, as this could cause
damage.

• Do not leave empty raclette pans 1 on

the plates while the appliance is heating
up or during use. Overheating may
result in damage to the non-stick
coating.

• Do not place any items on the

appliance.
