3.1. General preparation.

WarNiNG! ensure that you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in

Section 1 before use.

3.1.1. Prepare the motorcycle as described in the instructions for the MC450 Hydraulic

Motorcycle Lift.

3.1.2. Place the motorcycle rear lift on to the platform of the MC450 motorcycle lift and position

the motorcycle rear lift saddle under the motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended

swinging arm lifting point.

3.2. raising the rear of the motorcycle.

3.2.1. using a 17mm socket and ratchet turn the hexagonal drive clockwise to bring the

motorcycle rear lift saddle into contact with the recommended swinging arm lifting point.

3.2.2. Ensure the motorcycle rear lift is vertical before continuing to turn the hexagonal drive

clockwise and raising the motorcycle to the required working height. turn the hexagonal

drive slowly and evenly to ensure no sudden movements of the motorcycle.

Do Not use

an impact wrench.

3.3. lowering the rear of the motorcycle.

3.3.1. turn the hexagonal drive anti-clockwise and lower the motorcycle. Lower slowly to ensure

no sudden movements of the motorcycle.

Do Not use an impact wrench.

Safety WarNiNG! Always lower in a slow and controlled manner and ensure there

are no persons or obstacles beneath the motorcycle, or in the path of it’s descent.

iMPortaNt: only fully qualified personnel should attempt maintenance or repair.

4.1. Keep the motorcycle rear lift clean and lubricate all moving parts with a suitable oil on a

regular basis.

4.2. Before each use check for broken, cracked, bent, or loose parts, or any visible damage to

welds, saddle, frame and all parts including nuts, bolts, pins and other fasteners. If any

suspect item is found remove from service and take necessary action to remedy the

problem.

Do Not use if believed to have been subjected to abnormal load or shock.

Inspect and take appropriate action.
