• Check the covers and guards for dam-

age and correct position. If necessary,

replace.

• Always keep the unit clean. Clean the

blades carefully after each use. Wipe

it off with an oily rag or spray metal-

protection spray on them.

When cleaning the grass

shear blade, please obser-

ve the ball component.

• Slight notches on the blades can be

evened out. For this, sand down the

blades with an oil stone. Only sharp

blades can cut properly.

• Blunt, bent or damaged blades must

be changed.

Warning! Only use origi-

nal parts.

We are not liable for damage caused by

the use of the unit if the original cause

was improper repair or the use of non-

original parts or through use other than

that designated in this manual.

Storage

• Keep the equipment in the blade

guard supplied, dry and out of reach

of children.

• Before a longer period of storage (e.g.

over winter), remove the battery from

the equipment and charge it.

• During a longer storage period, check

the state of charge of the battery and

recharge if necessary roughly every 3

months.

• During storage, avoid extreme cold

of heat, so the battery does not lose

power.

Guarantee

• This appliance has a 36-month guar-

antee.

• Justified guarantee claims should be

reported to our Service Centre (see

page 105 for telephone & fax no.s,

and email address). Our Service Team

will tell you more about our complaints

handling procedure.

• Damage due to natural wear and tear,

overload or incorrect use is excluded

from the guarantee. Certain compo-

nents are subject to normal wear and

tear and are excluded from the guaran-

tee. These include in particular:blades,

the battery and gear wheel.

• Furthermore, the prerequisite for guar-

antee services is that the references

indicated in the operating instructions

regarding cleaning and maintenance

have been adhered to.

• Damage, which has been caused

from material or manufacturing faults,

will be made good free of charge, by

replacement delivery or repair.

This requires that the appliance is

returned to our service center undis-

mantled and with proof of purchase

and guarantee.

• Repairs, which are not covered by

the guarantee, can be carried out for

charge by our service center. Our

service center will be glad to provide

you with a cost estimate.

We can only process devices which

have been packaged sufficiently and

which have been dispatched with cor-

rect stamping.

Note: In case of complaint or service,

please deliver your device cleaned,

and with an indication of the defect, to

our service address.
