Charging the batteries with the USB charging cable

You can charge the supplied batteries

directly in the device

using the USB charging cable

provided. First, remove the

rubber plugs from the connection socket

. Now insert the USB

charging cable

into the connection socket

and connect the

USB charging cable

with your computer or a USB adaptor.

Charging takes between 5 and 10 hours depending on how
much the batteries

have discharged.

During the day, the solar cells convert sunlight into electricity and
charge the batteries.

The number of operating hours depends on how long and
intensively the sun shines on the collector panel

. For the best

results, place your solar lamp at a location where sunlight shines
directly on to the collector panel

. Direct sunshine of at least

8 hours duration is ideal for completely charging the batteries.
The location must be free from shadow and shade.

Ensure that the movement sensor

is not inﬂ uenced by direct

sunlight or other light sources. This can result in malfunctions.

Set-up location requirements

This device complies with protection class IP44. This means that the
device is protected from dust and water spray, and can be used re-
gardless of the weather conditions. However, proper protection from
water spray is only provided if the device is correctly closed and all
seals are intact and clean.

Please be aware that protection from water spray is only provided to
a limited extent if the USB charging cable

is used.
