Do not subject the battery block
to extreme conditions such as
heat and shock. Warning: injury
hazard due to escaping electro-
lyte solution! If you come into
contact with the battery acid,
immediately rinse in water or
neutraliser and consult a doctor,
if the electrolyte has come into
contact with the eyes etc.
Only charge using the original bat-
tery charger enclosed. Ensure that
the device is not charged for more
than 8 hours without interruptions at
a time. The battery and the device
could be damaged, and a longer
charging time also wastes energy. If
the device batteries are overloaded,
the guarantee claim becomes
invalid.
The outer surface of the unit and
the battery must be clean and dry
before connecting to the recharger.
Do not switch the unit on during
the recharging process.
• Charge the battery completely for 8
hours before you use it for the first
time. Do not charge up the battery in
short intervals.
• The recharger may only be used in-
doors and in dry surroundings.
• If the battery is new or has not been
used for an extended period, it must be
charged to the full and will only reach
maximum capacity after 5 full recharg-
ing/emptying cycles. If used properly,
the battery can be recharged up to
1000 times.
• Regular use of the battery will max-
imise its life span. As soon as the
blades start to slow down, you should
exchange the battery for a full one or
completely recharge the weak bat-
tery.
Avoid completely emptying
the battery. Defects resulting from
improper use are not covered by
guarantee.
• If the battery seems to empty more
quickly despite a full charge, it is worn
and needs to be replaced. Only use
original replacement batteries avail-
able from the Service Centre.
• In any case, keep to the applicable
security instructions and regulations
as well as the environment protection
instructions.
1. Connect the charger cable plug
(22) with the charger socket on
the tool (8).
2. Plug the charger (21) into the
wall mains power outlet.
3. The LED (4) will glow red as
long as the tool is connected to
the mains power supply. The re-
commended charging time is 5-8
hours.
4. After the recharging process
is completed, first unplug the
charger from the wall outlet, and
then remove the charger cable
plug from the tool.
