Using the Camera to Record and Analyze a Golf Swing
You can use the procedure in this section to trim the beginning and end of a movie
shot with any one of the BEST SHOT golf swing scenes below. Trimming a movie
shot with “Slow motion impact” results in a movie from just before impact to just after
impact. Trimming a movie shot with any of the other scenes produces a move from
address to finish.

In the REC mode, press [MENU].

Press [4], use [8] and [2] to select the “r REC MENU” tab, and then
press [6].

Use [8] and [2] to select “Movie Editing(Golf)” and then press [6].
4.
Use [8] and [2] to select “On” and then press [SET].
Selecting “Off” disables “Movie Editing(Golf)”.
IMPORTANT!
• If “Movie Editing(Golf)” is enabled, the message “Busy... Please wait...” will appear
on the monitor screen. Wait until this message disappears.

Movie Editing (Golf) Precautions
The precautions below apply while “On” is selected for “Movie Editing(Golf)”.
• Use the human outline or club head and ball outlines on the monitor screen to
adjust the position of the camera.
• If the club is too long to include both the golfer and club within the guide on the
monitor screen, align the guide with the golfer.
• An auto trim operation cannot be undone. Auto trim deletes the original movie data.
The original movie data is not deleted if the “Movie could not be cut.” error
message appears when you attempt an auto trim operation.
• Trimming will not be performed and the entire movie will be stored if the recorded
movie is 10 seconds or longer.
• A half-swing or other movement that makes it difficult for the camera to identify
your actual swing, from take back to follow through, will not be trimmed.
• A pre-swing waggle may not be trimmed.
• Certain types of shooting environments and/or swing styles may make proper
trimming impossible. If you experience problems, select “Off” for “Movie
Editing(Golf)”.
• Stop recording immediately as soon as the subject’s swing is complete.
