6. Take the cover off the right-hand block of the DC
load-break switch.
7. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver between the
bracket and the alarm contact, and press the
screwdriver down at an angle of not more than
10° to remove the alarm contact.
8. On the electronic assembly, remove the cable plug of the alarm contact from the pin header
X6.
9. Remove the cable together with the alarm contact from the SMA String-Monitor. To do this
release the mounting tie of the cable and pull the cable out of the cable lug.
10. Replace the covers of the DC load-break switch.
11. Remount the protective covers in the SMA String-Monitor (see SMA String-Monitor manual).
12. Replace the rotary handle horizontally (position 0, OFF, green area) onto the square bolt. The
rotary handle snaps into place with an audible click.
13. Switch the SMA String-Monitor back on if required (see SMA String Monitor manual).
14. Close the SMA String-Monitor.
