WINCH POST ASSEMBLY
Locate the winch post and position it on the tongue. Place the
½” x 3 9/16” x 6” U-bolts up around the tongue, align the legs
of the U-bolts with the holes in the winch post base and
insert. Secure the U-bolts in place using ½” flange lock nuts.
Tighten only enough to secure in place because they will
have to be moved again for final adjustment when the boat is
placed on the trailer.
Locate the winch handle. Press the retainer clip on the
end of the winch handle so it can be slipped onto the
drive shaft. Release clip once the handle is fully on the
drive shaft. Note that the winch handle should be
removed during transport to eliminate the possibility of
loosing it.
