Transaxle
Transaxle Specifications Chart
Transaxle Oil Change
This gearbox uses a lifetime fluid. Checking
the fluid level and changing the fluid is not
required. Please see your authorized GEM
dealer for any transaxle-related concerns.
Do NOT add fluid to the transaxle unless
changing the fluid. If changing the fluid, add
only the recommended fluid capacity as
stated in the specifications chart above. Do
not check the fluid level after draining and
filling.
1. Remove the fill plug.
2. Place a drain pan under the drain plug.
3. Remove the drain plug. Allow the oil to
drain completely.
4. Clean the drain plug thoroughly with a
dry shop towel.
5. Reinstall the drain plug. Torque to
specification.
6. Add only the recommended fluid
capacity as stated in the specifications
chart above.
7. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to
specification.
8. Check for leaks.
9. Dispose of used oil properly.
