MAINTENANCE

Brakes

Check Brake Pads

Look at the front brake caliper pads at (1), and at rear rear brake

caliper pads at (2). You should see at least 1/16 inch (1.6 mm)

of friction material on each of the brake pads. If in doubt,

measure remaining friction material. Replace brake pads having

less than the specified amount of friction material at their

thinnest point.
If the brake pads require replacement or if you are not sure how

much friction material is left, see the VICTORY Service Manual

or an authorized VICTORY dealer for assistance.

Check Brake Disc

Visually inspect the brake disc for nicks, scratches, cracks, or

other damage. Inspect the thickness of each brake disc in at least

four points around the disc. Minimum thickness is stamped on the

inner hub of the disc. If the front or rear disc has worn to the

minimum thickness at the thinnest point, or if the disc is damaged,

contact your VICTORY dealer for replacement.

Check Brake Hoses and Connections

Inspect all brake hoses and connections for dampness or stains from

leaking or dried fluid. Tighten any leaking connections and replace

components as necessary. Refer to the Victory Service Manual for

torque values of fasteners or contact your Victory dealer.
