Installation Verification
Verification of installation of the Fibre Channel upgrade consists of ensuring that
the system recognizes the MEDR, SEDR, and Fibre Channel boards. Use the
Diagnostics window, which lists all installed and recognized boards, to see if the
system recognizes the boards. To check for board recognition:
1. Open the Diagnostics window by selecting PDR Debug Tools | PDR
Diagnostics.
2. On the left side of the window, ensure that Fibrechannel I/F, Master EDR,
and Slave EDR appear at the slots in which you installed them (see
Figure 31 for an example).
3. You must now configure the Fibre Channel board for use in your video
network environment. Refer to the Profile Family User Manual for
information on how to do this.
