4. Configuration
UniConfig—Stage 1
5 UniConfig now displays NV5256 data:
Asterisks (*) indicate which modules are in effect. (APP1 should indicate that it is an NV5256
application. PLD0 should indicate that it is an NV5256 PLD.)
6 Enter the IP address for this NV5256 control card. Also enter the IP subnet mask. The mask
should always be 255.255.255.0. Make sure Ethernet control is enabled.
7 If you have a standalone NV5256 (256×256) choose ‘Standalone’ at the top right.
8 If you have an expanded NV5256 (2 frames for a 512×512 matrix) choose ‘Master’ when you
are configuring a control card in the “master” frame. Choose ‘Slave’ when you are configuring
a control card in the ‘slave’ frame. (You will have to designate one frame as the master.). The
display changes according to which option you selected:

The physical levels section will be disabled (greyed out) when you choose ‘slave’.
