Installing/Removing the RS-422 Card
The K2 ASI Media Client ASI card is a PCI-X board that must be placed on slot
number 3.
CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove
the system cover and access any of the components inside the server.
To install the K2 ASI board, please follow the steps described in the
section above.
Backup and Recovery Strategies
On the K2 ASI Media Client, there are three partitions on the system drive to support
backup and recovery strategies as follows:
• The C: drive is for the Windows operating system and applications
• The D: drive is for SNFS applications
• The E: drive is for storing a system image of the other partitions. From the E: drive
you can restore images to the C: drive.
When you receive a K2 ASI Media Client from the factory, the machine has a generic
image on the E: drive. This image is not specific to the individual machine. It is
generic for all machines of that type.
The recommended recovery disk image process is described in the K2 Storage System
Instruction Manual.
