10 TROUBLESHOOTING
If the hose pump does not function (correctly), consult the following checklist to see if
you can remedy the error yourself. If this is not the case, contact your Bredel
representative.
WARNING
Disconnect and lock the power supply to the pump drive before any work is
carried out.
In case the motor is fitted with a frequency controller and has a single-
phase power supply, wait two minutes to make sure that the capacitors
have discharged.
Problem Possible cause Correction
Failure to operate. No voltage. Check that the supply power
switch is on.
Check the electrical supply is
available at the pump.
Stalled rotor. Check if the pump is stalled by
incorrect fitting of the hose.
Check the VFD settings, if applica-
ble.
Lubricant level monitoring
system has been activated. Check that the lubricant level mon-
itoring system has stalled the
pump.
Check the functioning of the lubri-
cant level monitoring system, or
check the lubricant level.
