For the Dual DSX card, the supported loop (see Figure 2-6) is for the local
interface only. The NEAR selection invokes a loopback at the interface that loops
the receive data back towards the customer’s equipment. The unit also supports
several other loops for other interfaces. Ports in alarm are shown on the DTE
Alarms list. BERTs can be performed on the Dual DSX port.
