to provide a new set of functionality. The
left button was set to control the digital
talkback output in a push-to-talk fashion.
The right button was set to control, in a
push-to-talk fashion, the relay, and thus
the analog talkback output. Pressing both
buttons allowed a “cough” function for the
main output to be made available.
The end result is a transformer-coupled
analog talkback output with a nominal
level of approximately –16 dBu. The audio
quality is very clean and virtually “click
free.” The user interface remains simple
yet effective.
