Installation of the Scope Brackets:
• Two styles of scope brackets are offered. The bracket for smaller scopes has a blue coating and is used to hold
Bronchoscopes, etc. The bracket for larger scopes has an orange coating and is used to hold GI scopes.
• Brackets are coated to protect the Control body during storage.
• Both brackets install in the same manner.
1. Take a bracket, press down slightly on the coated handle; insert uncoated loop down into the upper and lower slots on
the top spool (
See Figure 6), release the handle. Scopes shown in Figure 7.
2. Fill spool with the appropriate brackets. Spool will hold up to 11 brackets.
Installation of Light Box/ Tube Guide:
• The light box/ tube guide contains the insertion tube and the electrical
connection. Also, on video image scopes, the guide can cradle the
PVE connector.
• Guides are coated to protect the scope cable and insertion tube.
1. The light box / tube guide is mounted the same way as the scope brackets.
2. Take a guide and depress the coated handle slightly. Insert the uncoated
loop down upper & lower slots the lower spool (
See Figure 8). Release the handle.
Hanging of the Scopes
Position the scope body above bracket. Lower the body down into the bracket, placing the insertion tube strain relief in
the bracket saddle. Make sure the outer hook of the bracket supports the control body as shown in Figures 9 and 10.
Light Box/ Tube Guide
Place the umbilical cable and the insertion tube into the guide as shown in Figure 11
(The connector can vertically rest against the post bumper or be looped and cradled
in the guide). For video image scopes, loop the cable and drop the PVC connector
into the guide.
