4 B&W Scan
The following section describes functionality of B&W Scan on the KIP Multi-Touch Screen.
Step Action Illustration
1. Select the B&W Scan Icon
2. Original Type –
• Line - Used for simple line
documents
• Line / Photo - Used for a
combination of line & photo
documents.
• Photo - Used for
photographic originals.
3. Image Quality – Allows for
adjustments to be made to the
image quality if Auto is not used.
• Threshold – Adjusting the
threshold will suppress or enhance
the lines and images from the
original.
• Background – Turning on
Background helps to remove any
background from the final output.
