Chapter 4: Troubleshooting
Basic troubleshooting
If you are still experiencing problems in operating your Freecom USB 3.0 Controller PCI
Express or connected devices despite having installed it correctly, then please first ensure
that:
1. All cables are properly connected and the USB 3.0 Controller PCI Express is positioned
firmly in its slot.
2. The devices are switched on.
3. The devices receive the required power.
4. Any hubs that are connected are switched on and are supplied with the correct
voltage.
5. There are no card errors. For more information on this, please read through the next
section.
Specific troubleshooting for the Freecom USB 3.0 Controller PCI Express
If your USB 3.0 Controller PCI Express is not functioning correctly, please check the card
status in the "Device Manager". If there is an exclamation mark next to the device in
"Device Manager", shut down your computer, remove the computer housing and ensure
that the card has been placed completely and firmly into the slot. If the exclamation mark
is still there after restarting the computer, please contact your Freecom dealer or check
on www.freecom.com for the latest drivers.
