15 MIRROR MIX

Starting mirror mix playback

r With the Deck 1 set to Cue

or Play mode, press the
Function3 button to start
mirror mix playback.

Setting the mirror mix playback parameters

• “Mirror mix” is an effect function by which the Deck 1 and Deck 1 are played with the a track delayed by a specific

amount of time (1/8, 1/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/1 or 2/1 BPM) with respect to the main track.

Stopping mirror mix
playback

t During mirror mix playback,

press the Function3 button
to pause mirror mix
playback.

Turning the mirror mix mode
off

y Press the MIRROR MIX

button and hold it in for over 1
second to turn the mirror mix
off.

16 D-SYNC FUNCTION

This function allows two independent players to be linked together by a Cross LAN cable (Within Max. 3m) that shares
and controls all your connected devices from the Master device to the Remote device.
Each time the D-SYNC button is pressed, Deck 2 on the set whose D-SYNC button was pressed can be controlled from
the other unit.

1. Connections

Connect two units of DN-HS5500s by Cross LAN cable.

DN-HS5500-B

DN-HS5500-A (Master)

DN-HS5500-B (Remote)

With the above connections, when the D-SYNC button on set A is pressed, set A’s Deck 2 can be controlled from
set B.
• The set whose D-SYNC button was pressed is called the “Master”, the other set the “Remote”.

(In the case above, set A is the master, set B the remote.)

• The audio signals are output from the master set. They are not output from the remote set.

With the above connections
The audio output (q) of Deck 1 on set A (Master) is operated from set A (Master).
The audio output (w) of Deck 2 on set A (Master) is operated from set B (Remote).
The audio signals (e) are not output from remote Deck 1.
FADER 1 on the master side operates for the master side.
FADER 2 on the master side operates for the remote side.

About USB devices
In the D-SYNC mode, the USB device connected to the Remote side cannot be used.
