INSTALLATION OF BASE
The base post (2 7/8” OD X 7’) should be placed in a hole approximately 2’ in
diameter and 3’6” deep or below frostline. (note: check soil type with local
engineer) The post must be perfectly plumb. Pour the concrete in the hole. Let the
concrete cure for several days. (refer to Fig.#1 below)
If you have taken the optional base stand (see fig.#2 below). Lag the legs into the
deck with the appropriate length lag bolts. Should you be setting the base stand on
a concrete base, use lag bolts with lead anchors or a parafast resin that will hold the
bolts into the concrete.
NOTE: The optional base stand (Fig#2) is
discontinued as of June 1
