2.4 Types
The CPU module can be equipped with different software options for control software. The operating system
is limited to "Windows Embedded Compac 7". The TwinCAT automation software transforms a CX9020
system into powerful PLC and Motion Control system that can be operated with or without visualisation.
Further system interfaces (pre­installed in the factory) or fieldbus connections can be added to the basic
CPU module.
The CX9020 modules are available in the following types:

The CX9020 units are delivered (if ordered with TwinCAT) with the software version TwinCAT 2.11 by
default. If the version 3.1 of TwinCAT is needed you have to order a unit without TwinCAT CX9020­0110.
The control software TwinCAT 3 must be ordered seperatly refered in the software priceliste TC12xx­0030.
