Troubleshooting Table
Lights on the control panel will flash when a fault has occurred. Follow the steps below to diagnose the
problem before calling customer service.
Diagnostic Code: Possible Cause:
Don't Call for Service
Until You:
RED “STOP” LIGHT
FLASHING A failed combustion blower, pressure switch
or push auger.
Press the START button again to
try to re-ignite the appliance.
RED “STOP” & GREEN
“START” LIGHTS LIT SOLID Two consecutive startup attempts have failed. Verify the appliance has pellet
fuel and clean the burn platform.*
BLUE “AUTO FAN” LIGHT
FLASHING Safety disc(s) tripped and appliance has
entered safety shutdown mode. The
appliance will no longer feed pellets and both
blowers will remain on until the appliance has
cooled sufficiently.
Verify the appliance is clean, free
of ash and debris and that the
blowers operate and are clean.
Press and hold the “STOP”
button for 3 seconds to clear the
diagnostic code.*
RED “STOP” & GREEN
“START” LIGHTS FLASH
ALTERNATELY Appliance ran out of fuel or hopper lid not fully
close. In rare cases, the metering motor or
system disc may have malfunctioned.
Verify the appliance has pellet
fuel and hopper lid closes fully to
press the hopper lid switch.*
* Attempt to re-ignite the appliance after troubleshooting steps.
NOTE: Always check to make sure pellets are in the hopper and the fire platform is clean.
