3.7 PnP/PCI Configurations Setup

This part describes configurations to be made on PCI bus system. PCI, namely Personal

Computer Interconnect, is a computer bus that allows I/O device to operate nearly as fast as CPU in

its own way. Some technical terms will be mentioned here. We recommend that non-professional

users not make changes from factory default settings.

Reset Configuration Data

Normally, you should set this item to Disabled. If you have installed a new add-on and the system

reconfiguration has caused such a serious conflict that the operating system cannot boot up, then

select Enabled. This will reset the Extended System Configuration Data (ESCD) after exiting from

Setup. Options are: Enabled and Disabled.
