Before you can watch TV channels in your area, you need to let the TV

To scan for channels:
1 Make sure that you have inserted the batteries in the remote
control, connected the antenna to the TV, and connect the AC
power.
2 Press
(Power), then wait several seconds.
3 Press MENU. The initial on-screen menu opens.
4 Press or to highlight TV. The TV menu opens.
5 Press
to

Antenna/Cable, then press or to
select Air or Cable, depending on the type of antenna
connection you have.
6 Press

highlight
Auto Scan, then press to open the
Channel Scan submenu.
7 Press
or

select
Start, then press ENTER to automatically
scan for available channels.
Auto Scan may take a while to complete. A progress report is
displayed while your TV is scanning for available channels. You

Auto Scan creates a list of available/receivable channels for the
selected signal input.

signal for several minutes, it automatically goes into standby mode. If
your TV is connected to a computer and the TV receives no VGA signal,
