For most measurements the 1 second setting is adequate, whilst in some special applications of
rapidly changing aerosol density, the 10 second setting will show an increased stability in the
displayed value.
The selected time constant is indicated on the display, namely if the 10 sec. value is chosen then
at the top left hand corner of the display a mark thus
← will appear. This is also indicated by the
control label markings.
