AV Fixed Volume: Yes / No

If No is selected the input will behave
normally. If Yes is selected the input
will operate at a fixed volume and
volume control will be disabled. Fixed
volume enables Uniti Series products
to be used in multi-channel AV systems
with volume control handled by the AV
processor. Take care when selecting AV
Fixed Volume.

Note: AV fixed volume is available on rear panel analogue
inputs only.

4.4 The Rooms Menu

The Rooms setup menu enables
Uniti Series products to broadcast
audio from their UPnP™, iRadio, or
USB inputs simultaneously to up to
four other Naim streamer products
connected to the same home network.

Note: The Rooms menu is only visible when the multiroom
input is enabled. See Section 4.3.5.

4.5 The Speakers Menu

The Speakers setup menu enables a variety of speaker
parameters to be adjusted. The options are tabulated and
described in the following sections:

UnitiQute 2

Balance:

Select Large when large (full bandwidth) speakers are
connected to the UnitiQute 2 speaker outputs or when
its preamplifier output is connected to an external power
amplifier or to a subwoofer used to augment the speakers’
low frequency performance.

Select Small when satellite (restricted bandwidth) speakers
are connected to the UnitiQute 2 speaker outputs and
the preamplifier output is connected to a subwoofer
providing the low frequency element of the speaker system.
When Small is selected a high-pass filter is applied to the
UnitiQute 2 speaker outputs.

Select None when no speakers are connected to the
UnitiQute 2 speaker outputs.

Note: The UnitiQute 2 preamplifier output is enabled
regardless of the type of speakers selected.

The UnitiQute 2 includes a Loudness parameter in its
Speakers menu. Engaging the Loudness option applies
low frequency boost to the speaker and preamplifier
outputs that decreases as the volume setting is increased.
Through compensating for the ear’s reduced low frequency
sensitivity at low volume levels, the Loudness function can
make low volume listening more satisfying.

Note: The loudness contour operates at volume settings
between 0 and 55.

The speaker Max. Volume and Balance parameters specify
maximum allowed volume, and the channel balance
respectively.
