Comfort Level Reference Chart
Note: These charts are only a guideline because weight distribution varies
from patient to patient.
9. Follow facility protocol, applicable laws and regulations, and individual user safety
considerations for usage of bed frame side rails.
7. Check to ensure that the patient has immersed into the mattress about 40 – 50%. If
they have not, adjust the Comfort Level using the Comfort Level “Softer” and “Firmer”
buttons and repeat steps 6 and 7 until the proper results are achieved.
8. Once the desired setting is found, check to see if there is adequate clearance
between the patient and the bed frame by placing your hand between the patient and
the bed frame. There should be 3-4 inches (7-10 cm) of clearance, and the patient
should not be touching the bed frame at any point. Adjust the Comfort Level setting
until the proper results are achieved.
