Note:
If turning off the power all the settings of each mode will be saved.
If turning off the ACC power all the settings will become as they were set on the plant as current.
If you don t use VOLUME knob within 5 seconds after selecting the desired mode, the unit will
automatically return to the current mode being displayed.
Setting other characteristics
During FM mode, keep pressing SELECT button for 3 seconds to enter another mode in the following order:
TA => PI => RETUNE => MASK => BEEP.
a. TA (Traffic Announcement) mode
To determine what action will the radio take if the newly tuned station does not receive TP (Transport
Program) information for 5 seconds.
Rotate the VOLUME knob to select the desired mode:
TA ALARM and
TA SEEK.
- TA SEEK
During searching the radio retunes to a different station, which contains TP information.
When TP information gets lost at the current station for retune time which is set by RETUNE SHORT (30
sec.) or RETUNE LONG (90 sec.), the radio starts to retune to next same PI station. When same PI station
does not catch in 1 cyclic search, the radio retunes to next station with TP information.
- TA ALARM
During searching the radio does not retune but the double beep sound (alarm) will be output.
When newly tuned station does not have TP information for 5 sec or when TP information gets lost at the
current station for retune time, beeps come out.
b. PI mode
PI is referred to Different PI (Program Information) with same AF (Alternative Frequency) .
If a car cruises that critical area back and forth, an oscillation phenomenon can be occurred, because the
different PI code can be receive from a same AF.
You can select PI SOUND or PI MUTE.
