18 th edition, Zincon method. The reaction between zinc and the reagents causes an
orange to a dark violet tint in the sample.

MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
• Select the Zinc method using the procedure described in the Method Selection section (see page 12).
• Fill one graduated mixing cylinder up to the 20 mL mark
with the sample.
• Add the content of one packet of HI 93731A-0 Zinc
reagent, close the cylinder and invert several times to mix
until completely dissolved.
• Fill one cuvette with 10 mL of the reacted sample up to
the mark.
