handoff occurs.

CALLS IN ABSENCE
INDICATOR
This feature indicates the number of received calls
while you were out of your car.
1. Before leaving the car, press
|FUNC

Turn off the ignition switch, but leave the tele
phone power switch ON. If necessary, lock the
unit.
Note: Cigarette lighter socket must have continuous
power.
2. When calls are received, the unit indicates it by
flashing I

of calls) alternately on the readout.
3. This mode is deactivated by pressing
|FUNC|
, then
key again. The display will show number of
calls until any key is depressed.

POWER SOURCES
Your telephone has access to
two
pow'er sources:
1. When plugged into your cigarette lighter socket,
pow'er is accessed from the vehicle battery.
2. The optional re-chargeable lead acid battery can
be used w’hen operating your phone outside the
vehicle.
VEHICLE SET UP
PROCEDURE
When using your transportable cellular telephone in
a vehicle, it is recommended that it be secured to one
of the passenger seats. Use the telephones supplied
seat belt strap.
1. Place phone in passenger’s seat with seat belt strap
facing forward.
2. Thread seat belt through seat belt straps and lock
seat belt into position.
3. Plug cigarette lighter adaptor into cigarette lighter
socket
FUNCTION REVIEW
This feature shows you w'hich numbered keys to use
for different FUNC/RCL key functions.
To review the function menu:
Press

for about one second.
Scroll the menu up or down, using the or
key respectively.
