SETTING A NEW EQUALIZATION CURVE
MANUALLY
SELECTING THE PROGRAMMED
EQUALIZATION CURVE
This unit provides the foiiowing 5 different programmed
equaiization curves.
ROCK: Powerfui sound emphasizing trebie and bass
POP: More presence in the vocais and midrange
LATIN: Accented higher frequencies for iatin music.
CLASSIC: Enriched sound with heavy bass and fine trebie.
JAZZ: Accented iower frequencies for jazz-type music
Press GEQ, and turn MULTI JOG to select one of the
programmed equalization curves within 4 seconds.
ROCK
The equaiization curve can be customized to suit your preference.
if a time-out occurs whiie you are performing these steps, press
UP or DOWN to return to the previous dispiay.

Press GEQ.
The current GEQ mode or “GEQ ON” wiii be dispiayed.

Within 4 secodns, press UP or DOWN to select
frequency bands.
Each time you press UP/DOWN, a biinking 4-segment
indicator wiii move to the next upper or iower frequency band,
(if the current GEQ mode showed, it changes to “GEQ ON” at
the first flip of UP or DOWN.)

“GRAPHIC EQUALIZER” appears and the GEQ mode is
displayed cyclically as follows.

To display the current GEQ mode
Press GEQ. The current mode is displayed for 4 seconds.
To cancel the selected mode
Press GEQ twice.
“GEQ OFF” appears and “GRAPHIC EQUALIZER” disappears.
To select with the remote control
Press GEQ, then within 4 seconds press ◄◄or

Turn MULTI JOG to set the level of equalization
for the selected frequency band.
4 In a similar way, set the level of equalization for
the remaining other frequency bands.
Using the headphones
Connect headphones to the PHONES jack with a standard stereo
plug (

inch).
No sound is output from the speakers while the headphones are
plugged in.
• When the headphones are plugged in, the SURROUND system
does not function.
Sound adjustment during recording
The VOLUME control has no effect on recording. It only sets the
level feeding the speakers and headphones. Remember, however,
recording takes on the BEAT, AUTO SPICE/FILL IN, SPICE A/B
functions, as well as on
the
bbe
function.
